|Hana - concept from New Vision, Philips Design, 1998|
"The New Vision project explored small screen televisions that addressed higher-level consumer needs in which the product benefits are more emotional, rather than purely rational. 'Hana', Japanese for flower, was one of the selected concepts for a bedroom TV. The light emanating from the rear of the set gives a warm glow, while the holes in the enclosure are like droplets of water on a flower.
|AmbiLight TV, Philips, 2004|
AmbiLight technology analyzes the incoming signals and automatically changes the ambient lighting to fit the color and brightness of the image. This enhances the perceived picture quality and creates a unique ambience in the surrounding. When TV set is switched off, AmbiLight can still provide a unique ambience for the room.
