A VISION of the car showroom of the future in which would-be buyers see a computer-generated image of their vehicle floating in front of them was shown in London yesterday.
The world's biggest virtual projections from the Glasgow-based Digital Design Studio and developed for the Ford Motor Company were displayed at London's Imax cinema.
Ford hopes the technology associated with three-dimensional images of cars shown will help the way designers create new cars and how customers buy them.
"We would hope to use this sort of technology for design in around two years time," said a Ford spokesman.
