A DISC LAMER

With more than a hundred of the recent positngs being nothing but the pictures of different lichens, this journal started to resemble a notebook of a professional lichenologist. Well, I am not. I like lichens, I love to take pictures of their whimsical forms, and I know one or two things about this lifeform, but I am as an amateur as amateurs could be. When I post these pictures here, my main focus is on aethetic properties. I try to also provide accurate descriptions of the shown species but please treat these IDs as guesstimates, the very first hypotheses about particular lichen that should be verified further. If you have alternative identifications or considerations, please do share them in the comments. Thank you.

PS: This daily 'lichenlog' started in March 2021 and took a pause from from October till December 2021. In 2022 I decided to give it another try and then run this blof for the entire year (minus a couple of weeks in December (we went on winter holidays; I will try to fill them on later). The plans for 2023 are uncertain.
